Hallo everybody!
Contrary to popular opinion, I am still alive (some of you may have seen the bandage on my head) but it looks like I finally am getting myself organised over here. I’ve been leeching wireless internet at every free cafe and unsecured network across Germany, and now have a wireless dongle so I can be in regular contact hopefully.
Many photos of my travels are uploaded to facebook with some amusing commentary if you are keen to see what I’ve been up to. Or just ask any of the Cronulla World Team members who will have enough stories to write a book. We have had a really good time so far.
After Warnemunde and Berlin I stayed in Hamburg for 3 nights and then caught a train to Brussels. There I transferred to the Eurostar for London where I am currently staying with Erin (sister) and Michelle (Cousin) in
West Ealing, London.
(edit – ok I have to admit it, my plans t ogo touring for a month or 3 were definitely put on the backburner due to some MASSIVE homesickness. There was no way I was in a state to start my adventures after all of a sudden finding myself alone in a foreign land after waving 20 of my best friends home at Hamburg Airport. Man, it hit a lot harder than I imagined, hence the decision to make a bee-line for London ASAP. I did have a great last night in Hamburg though, see my photo commentary!)
Doing some sightseeing around London this Wednesday (probably the Tower of London). Have spent a few days sorting out internet access, bank accounts and getting a new mobile phone.
Sooo… if anyone wants to contact me in London, these are now my details:
(edit – I have since moved again…)
96 Adelaide Road
London W13 9EB
Mobile: +44 7503 982 510
E-mail: matthew@bruceweb.com.au
The house is in West Ealing, I haven’t quite figured out why the address is just London, something to do with the post codes…
Anyway, all those dropping in to London, or anywhere else in Europe over the next 12 months, please drop me a line or a message. I really would like to hear from (or see) everyone. It’s taken a few days to get over the ‘what the hell am I doing here?’ stage but now I’m on the way up and learning a lot about everything. Especially I’m learning appreciation for Australia – for God’s sake all of you, be thankful for everything that you take for granted. You can’t even take a crap around here without loose change in your pocket.
Later for now 🙂
